Reports
Saved views of logged and planned time over any period, grouped and filtered your way, and shared with others.
Who: everyone. Each report shows the time its reader may see:
- your own time;
- plus your team's, for teams you lead;
- plus everyone's time on Jira projects you lead (as the project's lead in Jira), or whose project settings let you see it, and on accounts you lead;
- or everyone's, with See everyone's time (managers and administrators).
The report's page says which of these apply to you.
Create a report
Open Reports in the sidebar, then New report.
Choose what it shows: Logged time, Planned time, or Planned vs logged side by side with the difference. Give it a name if you like.
Create report. It's saved at once, and you can change everything afterwards.
Your reports lists My reports and Shared with me, with a search and a type filter, 50 at a time with Show more.
Shape it

A report grouped by project and person, with monthly columns and filters.
Reports → open a report of Planned vs logged for Last month, grouped by Project then Person, with weekly columns. Capture the options bar (period, columns, grouping, filters) and the table.
- Period: one that moves with the calendar (This month, Last week, Year to date...), going back a number of days, weeks, months or years (Last 30 days), or fixed dates. A moving period always ends today at the latest.
- Columns: days, weeks, months, quarters or years; Auto picks from the period's length.
- Group by: project, epic, issue, sub-issue, person, team, work type, overtime, account, billable, and your site's worklog fields, in any order. Grouped by team, each person's time counts for one of their teams, so every row adds up: a team that works on the time's project (a team linked to no project works on all of them), one working on every project first, then by name. Filtered to some teams, it is one of those. Time on a project none of the person's teams works on shows under No team.
- Filters: people, teams, projects, issues, issue type, status, priority, work type, and worklog field values.
- Billable information: for sites that use accounts. Each day shows its billable hours under its logged hours, in the cells and the totals, with a Billable column beside Logged. The report says Billable time beside its name, and a new report is named with it.
- Click a cell to list the worklogs and plans behind it.
Changes are a draft until you Save them: each changed control is highlighted, with what's saved. Save as new report keeps the original; Discard changes goes back to it.
Large reports
A report over a lot of time (for example a year of a whole large site) is added up by LogQuill before it reaches you, by what the report groups and filters by. The report says so. Grouping or filtering it by something new then reloads it, for a moment.
Share it
Share a report with people. They see everything it shows, including time they couldn't see otherwise, but can't change it: they can expand and collapse rows and export it. They're emailed when LogQuill knows their address, and you're copied. You see who it's shared with and can Stop sharing at any time. Someone you shared with can Remove from my list.

The Share dialog with two people added.
Open a report you own → Share. Add two people. Capture the dialog with the search and the list of people it's shared with.
On a project's page
A report whose Projects filter includes a Jira project is listed in that project's project page, under Reports, for everyone who opens it: its name, its owner and what it shows. Opened there, it shows only that project's time, as each person may see it themselves, not as you do. Sharing still decides who sees it with your access.
Export it
Export downloads the report as Excel or CSV, in one of two shapes:
- Totals, as grouped: the report as you see it, with its groups and columns.
- One row per worklog: every worklog the report counts, with its date, person, project, issue and summary, epic, work type, description, hours, billable hours, account and customer, your worklog fields, its source and Jira worklog ID. Good for invoicing or another tool.
The source says where a worklog was made: LogQuill, Jira (by hand there, or by another app writing to Jira, which Jira doesn't tell apart), Tempo (imported), the API, or an AI assistant (MCP). Click a cell to list its worklogs and plans: anything not made in LogQuill shows its source next to it, in reports and in Time Tracking alike.
Above a few thousand issues, issue summaries are left out to spare Jira, and the export says so.
Other actions
Rename and Delete are in the report's menu. Deleting a report removes it for everyone it was shared with.
Absence report
Who: everyone. Reports in the sidebar opens into Time (the reports above) and Absences:
- HR (people with Approve absences, and admins) see everyone's days off;
- whoever approves a team's absences sees the people they approve for;
- everyone else sees their own, as My absence report.
HR, admins and approvers can switch Whose to Only mine for their own days off.
It gives the days off per type: approved absences, and those waiting to be cancelled, which still count. Each day is one of the person's working days (their weekdays, less their public holidays and the days before they joined), a half day as half, with the hours it took off their required hours: "2.5 · 20h".
- Period: last month to begin with; this month, this year, last year or any range up to a year.
- Detail: by day, by week (from the site's first day of the week), by month (to begin with) or by year. By month or year, every month or year of the period has a line; by day or week, only those with days off.
- Type, and for HR and approvers team and a search by name or email, narrow it.
- A tile per type gives the period's days and hours, and for HR and approvers how many people took some.
- For HR and approvers, a line per person with a bar of their days by type, each type in its colour and named in the legend; hover a part for its days and hours. The bars share one scale, so the longest is whoever took the most. Click a person to see their days by the detail picked.
- On your own, a line per day, week, month or year, with the same bar.
- Export gives Excel or CSV, one line per person, type and day, week, month or year as picked, with the working days and the hours as a number, ready to sum. Each line also says its status (approved, or cancellation asked: those days still count until the cancellation is accepted) and its source (LogQuill, Odoo, Google Calendar or Outlook), each a line of its own, so payroll can check them apart.
Worked hours
Tick Worked hours to add the time people worked beside their days off, in three columns: Regular (time logged without Overtime ticked), Overtime, then Total worked. A tile adds up the period. People who worked but took no day off then join the report too.
The hours are the time logged as you can see it in Time reports, so an approver who can't read a person's time sees their days off but no hours.
With it ticked, Export gives one line per person and day, week, month or year: the days off of each type in a column of their own, then regular hours, overtime hours and total worked hours. Untick it for the export with a line per type, status and source.

The absence report's chart over two months: a tile per absence type, and a line per person with a bar of their days by type, one person opened on their months.
As HR, open Reports, then Absences, and pick a period of two months in which three people took Paid leave and one Sick leave. Open one person and capture the tiles, the bars and the opened person.
